Antonina Grek, Attorney
Antonina Grek is a versatile lawyer in Greer, SC and the founder of The Grek Law Group. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, majoring in Business Administration. She was graduated from the Charlotte School of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate and being admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2014.
Her interest in law is borne of a passion to help those in need. During her time at the Charlotte School of Law, Attorney Grek founded the Charlotte School of Law Immigration Clinic, which focused on providing free legal services to undocumented individuals living in the United States who desired to adjust their immigration status and become legal residents.
Antonina Grek is very active in the local community. Attorney Grek is an active participant in the Greenville Young Lawyers Division and the Hispano-American Women’s Association of Greenville. A naturalized citizen herself, Attorney Grek has first-hand, personal experience with the complexities of immigration law and the issues faced by her clients. Strong American sympathy to cultural diversity is what makes this country so amazing and outstanding. Therefore, immigration policies and regulations play a vital role in the American society. Joseph Baldwin, Attorney
Attorney Joseph Baldwin has a B.A. Degree in economics and political science from the University of Cincinnati and obtained a J.D. Degree from the University of South Carolina in 1978. He is a graduate of the Municipal Institute of Government and the Leadership Greer class of 1985.
Joseph Baldwin served as a City Councilman in Greer for 15 years, and served on Greenville City Council for 8 years. He served as Mayor Pro Tem for 4 years. He worked in state auto insurance prior to opening up his private practice in 2010. Attorney Baldwin officially joined The Grek Law Group in 2017. Attorney Baldwin’s devotion is most apparent through his criminal and personal injury cases. He enjoys running marathons and spending quality time with his wife.
Melissa James, Senior Paralegal
Melissa joined our firm in spring of 2014. She is the Grek Law Group’s senior paralegal, assisting in all areas of practiced law. A graduate of Spartanburg Community College, Melissa holds an associate’s degree in Applied Science, studying legal office technology and procedure. Her favorite parts of her job are research, developing legal argument, and writing. Melissa’s job history is vast and varied, giving her a unique and versatile skillset. From mucking stalls and haying horses to designing computer network architecture, there is not much she has not done before.
A Spartanburg County native, Melissa grew up her whole life in Greer, South Carolina. Though her Native American heritage plants her roots firmly in the Upstate, she is very well-traveled throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Melissa loves to learn and continues to study subjects that interest her in her spare time, especially history, English grammar and style, and various areas of law.
Ana Maria Hincapie, Paralegal
Ana Maria joined our firm in April of 2016. Ana Maria attended Spartanburg Methodist College, where she earned a certificate paralegal studies She is responsible for drafting immigration forms, USCIS correspondence, and client correspondence. She speaks Spanish and English fluently. She is from Cali, Colombia, and currently resides in Greer, SC. She is happily married to Jose Antonio Garcia and is a mother of three lovely teenagers and a gorgeous newborn: Carlos, Jesus, Shayla, and Joana. She keeps her schedule busy with church events, her children’s school activities, and her family’s home improvement projects.
Liya Radion, Paralegal
Liya Radion joined our team in January of 2017. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to: scheduling hearings and mediations, drafting initial pleadings, orders, and other court-related forms. Liya will be your contact for the family law and criminal department. She is fluent in English, Ukrainian, and Russian. When she’s not volunteering at her church as a children’s school teacher, she is helping her family with varying projects.
Katherine Rosser, Legal Assistant
Since joining our team in January 2015, Katherine has partaken in numerous departments. She began as a legal assistant, assisting first in family law matters before moving on to immigration and landlord/tenant law. She currently manages employee intake, oversees the personal injury department, and stays available to any department needing additional assistance. She is always keen to take on new responsibilities supporting our team. Katherine is extremely driven in her career and is currently working on a B.A. Degree in Political Science at USC Upstate. She has plans to continue her education and attend law school in 2020. Katherine gained her work ethic being raised as a Marine Corp dependent. She has had the privilege of experiencing a variety of cultures all over the world and by doing so, gained an appreciation for people from all walks of life. Katherine loves reading, painting, and going home to her cat, Pickles.
Nancy Ignacio Ojeda, Legal Assistant
Nancy joined our team in October of 2017 and has been a benefit to the personal injury department. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to: drafting initial pleadings, interrogatories, handling correspondence with clients, court personnel, and insurance departments. Nancy is from Mexico and can speak both Spanish and English fluently. Nancy enjoys finding new cuisine with her boyfriend and going to church with her little sister on Sundays.
Kara Sarasty, Paralegal
Kara joined our firm in January of 2018 to assist the real estate department, but also is versatile in assisting the family and personal injury departments. Kara is a graduate of Greenville Technical College, where she earned an associate’s degree in Applied Science, with a focus in Business Management. She will soon complete the paralegal studies program through the University of South Carolina, Aiken.
Kara was raised in Greenville County, SC and is of Native American descent. She is happily married and has two beautiful children, Roman and Natalie. When she’s not working, she keeps her schedule busy with family activities, taking painting classes, learning to play the guitar, and reading mystery novels.
