How long does it take to finalize a divorce in South Carolina?

Your divorce case is finalized when the Divorce Decree is signed by the Judge and filed with the Clerk of Court. This date depends on a myriad of variables that can be discussed during your consultation. Key contributing factors include but are not limited to: which ground(s) for divorce is/are applicable, documented evidence to support the grounds for divorce, whether all parties are in agreement, and knowing the Defendant’s home address.
